Makeupbee.com & Nails Of The Week

Aloha my lovely ladies! ;)

Just a quick thank you to all of you dolls who left the sweetest comments on my previous post regarding the bridal makeup that I did. You guys are very awesome and I appreciate your feedback! ;)

I wanted to share with you all a new makeup community, themakeupbee.com. I received an invite from them on my Twitter and I was able to check out the website and got to add a few of my makeup looks there. I really enjoy online makeup communities where I can meet and interact with other beauty enthusiasts like myself. In case you are wondering, it's totally free to sign up. All you have to do is fill out some basic information and they will send you a confirmation email and you're good to go. I've already met some amazing people on the site so it's definitely worth checking out. They were also kind enough to have me featured on their Facebook Page. Thank you, Makeupbee! =)

Believe it or not, I have been in somewhat of a makeup brain-fart stage. lol. I've been a little uninspired lately but it happens here and there. I'm sure I'll snap out of it soon and create something juicy lol. I've also been on a makeup no-buy because I seriously have so many things that I have yet to even open and try out. I am, however, a little crazy about nail polishes! I know I mentioned that before but I think I have a problem lol. In my last nail polish haul I mentioned a local nail supply store that has now closed after 25 years. Let me just say that they had some incredibly outrageous deals that I just could not resist. So expect a collective haul post soon. I was loving Orly and Zoya but my new favorite is CND (Creative Nail Design). The brush applicator is nothing like I've ever tried before. It's amazing! Anyhoo, here are my nails of the week. :)

What are your favorite brands of polish? What are you currently rocking on your nails? I'd love to know! ;)

Mini Haul: Orly's Sparked & Green Apple

Hello my lovely readers and guests! :)

I was in need of a new layout so I hope you like it. I know it's a little dark and vampy but I like it. ;)

Just wanted to share my mini haul from Sally's the other day. I'm so into light pastels right now. Mind you, I just recently started getting into nail polishes. So far, I am loving Orly and Zoya. The formulas are so smooth and easy to apply and not to mention very opaque. I couldn't decide on the shades I wanted to get but I was able to control myself and purchased only 2. I ended up getting Sparked which is a light banana yellow and Green Apple which is light creamy green. I love both of them! I think they're perfect for spring and summer. I only swatched each on 2 fingers lol sorry about that, and I used 2 coats. I want to pick up some nail swatching wheels on my next visit to Sally's.

What are your recent nail polish purchases? Any favorites you'd like to share?

NYX Girls Nail Polish Haul + Glittery Cheetah Nails

As I mentioned in my previous post, I have been hauling lol. I wanted to share some of the NYX Girls Nail Polishes that I got from a local grocery store here in Hawaii (Don Quijote). I got these on sale (of course), the original price was $1.49 but I got them for $1.19. Not much of a difference but I saved some change nonetheless lol.

NYX Girls Nail Polishes
1. #118 in 'Second Skin'
2. #167 in 'Dreamy Glitter'
3. #115 in 'Milano'
4. #166 in 'Grand Royal'
5. #113 in 'Chocolate Taupe'
6. #105 in 'Algae'

Let me just say that I'm not much of a nail polish hoarder as I am a makeup hoarder. I don't always paint my nails and do anything fancy with them. Once in a while when I feel like playing around with them, I will. But I am not constantly changing up my tips or worrying about having naked nails. So I honestly don't like to shell out much for a nail polish. I only have a couple of OPI & Essie polishes which of course I got on sale. I just can't seem to justify paying 8 or 9 dollars for a bottle of nail paint so I usually like to snag polishes on sale if I spot some shades that are calling my name. I saw the one in Chocolate Taupe and immediately thought of it as being a dupe for Sephora by OPI's 'Metro Chic', which has been a very popular shade.

I had just dropped off my daughter to school this morning and since my son is spending some time at grandma's, I decided to play around with a couple of these polishes. For those who do not know, I absolutely love animal print! The cheetah print fabric that you see in all of my pictures is actually a top that I can't fit in at the moment due to being pregnant lol. Please excuse my dry cuticles. =T Oh and I used 3 coats of Chocolate Taupe.

Products Used:
1. Milani Nail Lacquer in 'Whitest White'
2. NYX Girls #166 in 'Grand Royal'
3. NYX Girls #113 in 'Chocolate Taupe'
4. L.A. Colors ArtDeco in 'Black'
5. Wet N' Wild Mega Last Quick Dry Ultra Gloss Top Coat (not pictured)

I would like to do a makeup tutorial but I can't decide on what look to do. Any ideas? Let me know.
